2003 Ford SVT Cobra-10th Anniversary- 2K Miles-AC

2003 Ford SVT Cobra 10th Anniversary – A Supercharged Salute to Mustang History

In 2003, Ford’s Special Vehicle Team (SVT) unveiled a machine that would become a cornerstone of modern Mustang performance history: the SVT Cobra. That year marked the 10th anniversary of the Cobra nameplate, and to celebrate, Ford released a limited-production “10th Anniversary Edition” of the already potent Terminator Cobra. With only 2,003 coupes produced in this special edition trim, these cars are now coveted icons of Mustang heritage—especially one as preserved and original as this Silver Metallic beauty, which was recently showcased at PC Classic Cars in Sherman, Texas.

This particular example, finished in its factory-original “YN” Silver Metallic paint, is a true collector’s dream. With a staggeringly low 2,633 actual miles on the odometer, it stands as a pristine time capsule of early-2000s American muscle. The 10th Anniversary SVT Cobra boasted cosmetic upgrades that set it apart from the standard Terminator Cobra, including unique 17-inch dark argent alloy wheels, red brake calipers, and a distinctive interior treatment with Dark Charcoal leather and bold red seat inserts. This car retains every one of those unique touches—completely unaltered.

Under the hood, the factory-supercharged 4.6L DOHC V8 remains untouched and numbers-matching, delivering a factory-rated 390 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque through a 6-speed Tremec Magnum T-56 manual transmission. Power flows to a Ford 8.8-inch rear end, and all of it sits atop original Goodyear Eagle F1 tires dated 2003. Even the exhaust system remains fully stock, including the OE manifolds, catalytic converters, H-pipe, mufflers, and tailpipes—nearly unheard of in a world where so many Terminators have been modified.

Inside the cabin, the Cobra presents with original Code “MR” upholstery in Dark Charcoal with striking red seat inserts. The center console, floor shifter, and leather-wrapped steering wheel are all factory-issue. All accessories work as intended, including power windows, locks, mirrors, driver’s seat, and cold-blowing air conditioning. Entertainment comes by way of a factory Ford AM/FM radio with a six-disc CD changer. Additional equipment includes cruise control, rear defrost, tilt column, traction control, and hydro boost four-wheel disc brakes.

What’s truly remarkable is this car’s exceptional originality and condition. According to the PC Classic Cars inspection sheet, everything functions flawlessly—from the fog lights to the heater, wipers, tachometer, and even the original radio. The engine bay is immaculately preserved, and the car still wears its original 2003 wiper blades and OE Bilstein shocks. The undercarriage, suspension, and steering components are described as “like new,” and the entire vehicle carries the unmistakable aura of a meticulously cared-for collector car.

The clean CarFax supports this Cobra’s pristine story, showing just two private owners from new, with the car spending time in California, Utah, and Texas. Documented mileage confirms that this Cobra has traveled less than the average vehicle sees in a single year over the course of more than two decades.

This 2003 SVT Cobra is accompanied by its original SVT Certificate and SVT Letter, adding yet another layer of authenticity to a car already overflowing with heritage and performance credibility. It is more than a Mustang—it’s a preserved example of SVT’s engineering legacy, an analog-era beast captured in showroom-fresh condition.
